Children and Youth
There is
nothing that St. James values as much as children and youth. Many
ministries are for children and youth. We strive to help every child and
teenager grow deeper in faith, love Jesus more and follow Him, and we
especially focus on living out our mission statement; "Following Jesus we
love God and Neighbor". St. James welcomes ALL children and youth!
Please
see the resources and visit the web pages of the various ministries below
and contact us with any questions you may have or if we can help in any
way.
Families
At St.
James we like to offer as many opportunities as we can for our families to
come together. Every month there are family events for all families to
participate in. Parents are also encouraged to help with the various
children and youth events we have.
For
our Adults
We love
our kids! We do as much as possible to keep them safe. Adult volunteers
are vital for any ministry to succeed and flourish. And it's FUN! Please
talk with
Pastor, or any of our volunteers
learn more about it. All volunteers submit background clearances to help
keep our kids safe. Visit

Children's growth in faith is
extremely important to us. And of course at almost every church event from
a service project to a fellowship luncheon, our younger members are there as
a part of this community.
YaP
(Youth with a Purpose)
is our youth ministry. YaP focuses on Youth in 9th grade through
12 grade. Along with the YaP Monthly Gathering, they meet weekly faith talks
and fun from 10:15am-12:00pm in our youth room. Each month they enjoy
activities such as volleyball, fellowship events, devotions, service
projects, retreats, Bible studies, game nights and trips. The youth are
involved in planning, preaching and leading several services during the
year, including the 9:00 p.m. Christmas Eve worship service, after each
mission trip and other times through out the year. We strive to make our
YaP group a welcome place. If you are a youth interested in coming please
contact Gary and he will match you up with another young person currently in
the program or you can stop by anytime to see him. They have their own
web site, so check it out!
