Building Our Discipleship Series!

At St. James we are passionate about people growing as disciples of Jesus!  As individuals and as a congregation this is what God calls us to do.  This fall, in our Building our Discipling worship series we will explore how God is building up this faith community.  Watch this brief video to learn more!

We will consider key discipleship themes including; loving God, loving neighbor, vision/commitment, God’s blessings, learning (growing head knowledge), acting (growing our doing capacity), relating (growing our hearts), worship, community, service, spiritual gifts, giving, evangelism, and what the Church should be. Though videos, personal testimony, times of fellowship and celebration, and powerful preaching our faith will be inspired and deepened.

One of the things we are most excited about is the daily devotional we will be using with the worship series, because it was written by the people of St. James.  We will be blessed, encouraged and maybe even challenged by the sharing of our fellow disciples!

One of the best ways to get the most from this worship series will be to join a small group.  Being part of a discussion group will help you to grow in faith as people in the group share what encourages and challenges them. Together we will use the daily devotional writings to explore how we grow as disciples of Jesus. And being part of a group will also help you to develop closer friendships and truly have fun!

Some groups will meet at church after worship and others will be meeting in people’s homes. Groups will be meeting at different times and days throughout the week to enable you to find a group that works for you.  Here is a printable list of the discussion groups available to you or contact the church office (office@StJamesLimerick.com or 610-287-7231) for more information.
